There are two ways to book. Airbnb carries our live calendar and our current prices, so you can see what is free and book in a couple of minutes. Or write to us directly and we will answer you ourselves.

THE QUICK WAY

Book on Airbnb

Our calendar lives on Airbnb and it is always current. If a date shows as available, it is available, and you can see the full cost of your stay before you commit to anything. Nothing to email back and forth, no waiting on us.

Nine years of hosting has left us with a Superhost badge, a Guest favourite badge and 192 reviews averaging 4.90 out of 5. Payment, cancellation and the booking itself all run through Airbnb, and we answer messages within the hour.

Enquire direct

If you would rather deal with us, use the form below. It suits the things Airbnb's flow does not cover: longer stays, questions about access, dogs, whether the house works for your particular group. We read every enquiry ourselves and come back to you as soon as we can. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking, so no dates are held until we have written back and agreed them with you.

Tell us your dates, how many of you there are and anything you need to know, and we will come back to you.

Including children. Our maximum is 10.

Questions we get asked

How many people does it sleep?

Ten. Three bathrooms and seven beds across five bedrooms, split between the four-bedroom house and the one-bedroom annexe. Ten is the maximum and we cannot go over it.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are welcome. The garden is fenced all the way round, so they can be out without anyone watching the gate, and the walks start at the end of the drive. Tell us how many are coming when you book and we will confirm the details with you.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

From 16:00, and out by 10:00. A lockbox means no key handover to arrange and nobody to wait for. If you want to arrive early or leave late, ask, and we will tell you what the changeover allows.

Is it one property or two buildings?

One booking, two buildings. The house and the annexe stand about ten metres apart and we only ever let them together, so the whole place is yours. The annexe has its own kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, so part of the group can keep slightly different hours from the rest.

Is there wifi?

Yes. It runs at about 72 Mb, and there is ethernet if you would rather plug in. Someone can work from here for a week without trouble, at a desk set aside for it.

Can we bring a cot? Is it baby friendly?

You do not need to bring one. There is a cot and a travel cot here, plus a high chair, stair gates, window guards, children's tableware, and books and toys for nought to two and two to five.

Is there parking, and can I charge an electric car?

Three or four cars fit on site, one of those spaces is a disabled bay, and the lane takes the overflow. Charging is from a standard outdoor three-pin socket, so bring a cable. A Type 2 adapter lives here if you need it.

Can we hold a party or an event?

No. This is a quiet countryside home on a country lane and we ask for no parties and no loud music. Ten guests is the limit for people staying, and any extra visitors during the day need to be agreed with us first. No smoking indoors.
